GOD CARES FOR HIS PEOPLE

Baca: EXODUS 16

Bacaan tahunan: Ezekiel 25-27

The struggles of life are indeed inseparable from our lives. Even though we believe in God, it does not mean that our lives are free from struggles. Seeing this reality, it is worth reflecting on how we believe in God who has saved and blessed our lives.

The nation of Israel continued their journey by entering the wilderness. However, they did not feel the shadows of joy, but rather the shadows of regret for their freedom from the land of Egypt. The difficulties of life instantly made them blind in heart and mind so that they dared to blame God. All of this happened because of hunger. For them, it was better to die full in the land of Egypt than to die of starvation (verse 3). Yet it was impossible for them to feel full in the land of slavery. Praise be to the Lord for He is full of love so He does not listen to the complaints of His people with disappointment and anger. By giving meat and bread, the Lord showed that He did not bring His people out to experience death, but to save and bless their lives.

In life, there are various struggles that can make us blind in heart. God invites us to always control ourselves by always remembering and seeing the Lord who is present in our lives. Believe that God does not bring us out and leave us in distress. He is always present and provides help and a way for us.
