RESPONDING TO THE END TIMES

Bible in a year: Luke 23-24

In a family conversation, a light conversation turned to the topic of the end times. "Now the use of chip technology is increasingly widespread," said a family member. "Yes, now a series of disasters and various diseases are also starting to emerge," added another. "That's why we need to live more earnestly in the Lord and use our time wisely," said another. "Children shouldn't spend time playing games, but should increase prayer and reading the Bible," he added.

Observing the state of the world, it seems that the signs of the end times are becoming clearer, fulfilling the words of Jesus. Yes, there is a time when there are many wars, disputes between nations and kingdoms, as well as famines and earthquakes (verses 6-7). However, all of these are just the beginning of the suffering leading to the end times. How should believers respond to this situation? First, strengthen your heart to endure in faith, so that we will be saved (verse 13). Second, we need to dedicate ourselves to be involved in preaching the Gospel and bearing witness (verse 14), because the spread of the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations will be the final sign of the end of all things.

The challenge to strengthen faith and be involved in preaching the Gospel are two important matters for every believer in the present time. Let us strengthen our faith through much prayer, also by reading and meditating on the Word. Learn to live in faith when the struggles of life come, and start getting involved in preaching the Gospel until the end times arrive.
