Turn my eyes away from worthless things... (Psalm 119:37)

One time Bung Hatta want a good quality branded shoes, but quite expensive. He kept the ads clipping which contains the address of the seller, and then trying to save money. However, his savings are always reduced to meet the needs of families or people who ask for help. Finally, to the death, Bung Hatta had never bought that shoes. For him, becomes meaningful to the family and relatives is made him happier than having expensive shoes.
In deeper, Psalmists tell the real source of happiness. In Today's English Version translation, Psalm 119:35 reads: "Keep me obedient to your commandments, because in them I find happiness." That's why the next verse Psalmists ask: "Give me the desire to obey your laws rather than to get rich." (v. 36). This is what prevents it from pursuing "the worthless" (verse 37).
As a means of life, money is a neutral object. Unfortunately, many people who then looked wrong. They thought that the source of happiness is money. So there is money, be happy. No money, become difficult and confused and worried. In fact, should not the case. Happiness happens when we follow Christ's will and obey His word. Thus, in a row we will enjoy peace, joy, and life meaning. And, of course with all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, He will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19). Go after the true source of happiness, not a disappointment - AW
