Laws are created with the purpose of providing order in life. However, laws do not always achieve their goals. Sometimes, laws are enforced without psychological considerations, resulting in negative reactions such as hatred and resistance instead of introspection and self-improvement. Yet, there is a more effective approach: involving understanding, guidance, and education that allow people to learn from mistakes without feeling hurt or judged.

This approach is used by the Lord Jesus in the mission of restoring sinful human life to the image of God according to the original design. Jesus expresses love, forgiveness, and exemplary behavior. Jesus emphasizes love above all laws. Jesus longs for every believer to have awareness and compassion from the heart to live in love and truth, not just obeying the law out of compulsion.

Therefore, it is not only the congregation in Rome that must wear the Lord Jesus Christ as the armor of light. Every believer should rightfully wear the Lord. Making the Lord Jesus an integral part of life, making His character a model in every aspect of life. Wearing the Lord ultimately not only proves our identity as children of God, but also becomes a beautiful testimony to others. For words and actions that wear the Lord reflect the character of Christ clearly. By wearing the Lord, we participate in the mission of the kingdom of God: realizing the restoration of creation.
