Ul 14:1 "Kamulah anak-anak TUHAN, Allahmu; janganlah kamu menoreh-noreh dirimu ataupun menggundul rambut di atas dahimu karena kematian seseorang;
Ul 14:2 sebab engkaulah umat yang kudus bagi TUHAN, Allahmu, dan engkau dipilih TUHAN untuk menjadi umat kesayangan-Nya dari antara segala bangsa yang di atas muka bumi."
Binatang yang haram dan yang tidak haram
Ul 14:3 "Janganlah engkau memakan sesuatu yang merupakan kekejian.
Ul 14:4 Inilah binatang-binatang berkaki empat yang boleh kamu makan: lembu, domba dan kambing;
Ul 14:5 rusa, kijang, rusa dandi, kambing hutan, kijang gunung, lembu hutan dan domba hutan.
Ul 14:6 Setiap binatang berkaki empat yang berkuku belah--yaitu yang kukunya bersela panjang menjadi dua--dan yang memamah biak di antara binatang-binatang berkaki empat, itu boleh kamu makan.
Ul 14:7 Tetapi inilah yang tidak boleh kamu makan dari antara yang memamah biak atau dari antara yang berbelah dan bersela kukunya: unta, kelinci hutan dan marmot, karena semuanya itu memang memamah biak, tetapi tidak berkuku belah; haram semuanya itu bagimu.
Ul 14:8 Juga babi hutan, karena memang berkuku belah, tetapi tidak memamah biak; haram itu bagimu. Daging binatang-binatang itu janganlah kamu makan dan janganlah kamu terkena bangkainya.
Ul 14:9 Inilah yang boleh kamu makan dari segala yang hidup di dalam air; segala yang bersirip dan bersisik boleh kamu makan,
Ul 14:10 tetapi segala yang tidak bersirip atau bersisik janganlah kamu makan; haram semuanya itu bagimu.
Ul 14:11 Setiap burung yang tidak haram boleh kamu makan.
Ul 14:12 Tetapi yang berikut janganlah kamu makan: burung rajawali, ering janggut dan elang laut;
Ul 14:13 elang merah, elang hitam dan burung dendang menurut jenisnya;
Ul 14:14 setiap burung gagak menurut jenisnya;
Ul 14:15 burung unta, burung hantu, camar dan elang sikap menurut jenisnya;
Ul 14:16 burung pungguk, burung hantu besar, burung hantu putih;
Ul 14:17 burung undan, burung ering dan burung dendang air;
Ul 14:18 burung ranggung, dan bangau menurut jenisnya, meragai dan kelelawar.
Ul 14:19 Juga segala binatang mengeriap yang bersayap, itupun haram bagimu, jangan dimakan.
Ul 14:20 Segala burung yang tidak haram boleh kamu makan.
Ul 14:21 Janganlah kamu memakan bangkai apapun, tetapi boleh kauberikan kepada pendatang yang di dalam tempatmu untuk dimakan, atau boleh kaujual kepada orang asing; sebab engkaulah umat yang kudus bagi TUHAN, Allahmu. Janganlah kaumasak anak kambing dalam air susu induknya."
Persembahan persepuluhan
Ul 14:22 "Haruslah engkau benar-benar mempersembahkan sepersepuluh dari seluruh hasil benih yang tumbuh di ladangmu, tahun demi tahun.
Ul 14:23 Di hadapan TUHAN, Allahmu, di tempat yang akan dipilih-Nya untuk membuat nama-Nya diam di sana, haruslah engkau memakan persembahan persepuluhan dari gandummu, dari anggurmu dan minyakmu, ataupun dari anak-anak sulung lembu sapimu dan kambing dombamu, supaya engkau belajar untuk selalu takut akan TUHAN, Allahmu.
Ul 14:24 Apabila, dalam hal engkau diberkati TUHAN, Allahmu, jalan itu terlalu jauh bagimu, sehingga engkau tidak dapat mengangkutnya, karena tempat yang akan dipilih TUHAN untuk menegakkan nama-Nya di sana terlalu jauh dari tempatmu,
Ul 14:25 maka haruslah engkau menguangkannya dan membawa uang itu dalam bungkusan dan pergi ke tempat yang akan dipilih TUHAN, Allahmu,
Ul 14:26 dan haruslah engkau membelanjakan uang itu untuk segala yang disukai hatimu, untuk lembu sapi atau kambing domba, untuk anggur atau minuman yang memabukkan, atau apapun yang diingini hatimu, dan haruslah engkau makan di sana di hadapan TUHAN, Allahmu dan bersukaria, engkau dan seisi rumahmu.
Ul 14:27 Juga orang Lewi yang diam di dalam tempatmu janganlah kauabaikan, sebab ia tidak mendapat bagian milik pusaka bersama-sama engkau.
Ul 14:28 Pada akhir tiga tahun engkau harus mengeluarkan segala persembahan persepuluhan dari hasil tanahmu dalam tahun itu dan menaruhnya di dalam kotamu;
Ul 14:29 maka orang Lewi, karena ia tidak mendapat bagian milik pusaka bersama-sama engkau, dan orang asing, anak yatim dan janda yang di dalam tempatmu, akan datang makan dan menjadi kenyang, supaya TUHAN, Allahmu, memberkati engkau di dalam segala usaha yang dikerjakan tanganmu."
Deut 14:1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
Deut 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
Deut 14:3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
Deut 14:4 These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
Deut 14:5 The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
Deut 14:6 And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
Deut 14:7 Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
Deut 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.
Deut 14:9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
Deut 14:10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
Deut 14:11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
Deut 14:12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
Deut 14:13 And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
Deut 14:14 And every raven after his kind,
Deut 14:15 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind,
Deut 14:16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
Deut 14:17 And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
Deut 14:18 And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
Deut 14:19 And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
Deut 14:20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
Deut 14:21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
Deut 14:22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
Deut 14:23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
Deut 14:24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
Deut 14:25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
Deut 14:26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
Deut 14:27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
Deut 14:28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
Deut 14:29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
