Bil 27:1 Kemudian mendekatlah anak-anak perempuan Zelafehad bin Hefer bin Gilead bin Makhir bin Manasye dari kaum Manasye bin Yusuf--nama anak-anaknya itu adalah: Mahla, Noa, Hogla, Milka dan Tirza--
Bil 27:2 dan berdiri di depan Musa dan imam Eleazar, dan di depan para pemimpin dan segenap umat itu dekat pintu Kemah Pertemuan, serta berkata:
Bil 27:3 "Ayah kami telah mati di padang gurun, walaupun ia tidak termasuk ke dalam kumpulan yang bersepakat melawan TUHAN, ke dalam kumpulan Korah, tetapi ia telah mati karena dosanya sendiri, dan ia tidak mempunyai anak laki-laki.
Bil 27:4 Mengapa nama ayah kami harus hapus dari tengah-tengah kaumnya, oleh karena ia tidak mempunyai anak laki-laki? Berilah kami tanah milik di antara saudara-saudara ayah kami."
Bil 27:5 Lalu Musa menyampaikan perkara mereka itu ke hadapan TUHAN.
Bil 27:6 Maka berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa:
Bil 27:7 "Perkataan anak-anak perempuan Zelafehad itu benar; memang engkau harus memberikan tanah milik pusaka kepadanya di tengah-tengah saudara-saudara ayahnya; engkau harus memindahkan kepadanya hak atas milik pusaka ayahnya.
Bil 27:8 Dan kepada orang Israel engkau harus berkata: Apabila seseorang mati dengan tidak mempunyai anak laki-laki, maka haruslah kamu memindahkan hak atas milik pusakanya kepada anaknya yang perempuan.
Bil 27:9 Apabila ia tidak mempunyai anak perempuan, maka haruslah kamu memberikan milik pusakanya itu kepada saudara-saudaranya yang laki-laki.
Bil 27:10 Dan apabila ia tidak mempunyai saudara-saudara lelaki, maka haruslah kamu memberikan milik pusakanya itu kepada saudara-saudara lelaki ayahnya.
Bil 27:11 Dan apabila ayahnya tidak mempunyai saudara-saudara lelaki, maka haruslah kamu memberikan milik pusakanya itu kepada kerabatnya yang terdekat dari antara kaumnya, supaya dimilikinya." Itulah yang harus menjadi ketetapan hukum bagi orang Israel, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.
Yosua mengganti Musa
Bil 27:12 TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: "Naiklah ke gunung Abarim ini, dan pandanglah negeri yang Kuberikan kepada orang Israel.
Bil 27:13 Sesudah engkau memandangnya, maka engkaupun juga akan dikumpulkan kepada kaum leluhurmu, sama seperti Harun, abangmu, dahulu.
Bil 27:14 Karena pada waktu pembantahan umat itu di padang gurun Zin, kamu berdua telah memberontak terhadap titah-Ku untuk menyatakan kekudusan-Ku di depan mata mereka dengan air itu." Itulah mata air Meriba dekat Kadesh di padang gurun Zin.
Bil 27:15 Lalu berkatalah Musa kepada TUHAN:
Bil 27:16 "Biarlah TUHAN, Allah dari roh segala makhluk, mengangkat atas umat ini seorang
Bil 27:17 yang mengepalai mereka waktu keluar dan masuk, dan membawa mereka keluar dan masuk, supaya umat TUHAN jangan hendaknya seperti domba-domba yang tidak mempunyai gembala."
Bil 27:18 Lalu TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: "Ambillah Yosua bin Nun, seorang yang penuh roh, letakkanlah tanganmu atasnya,
Bil 27:19 suruhlah ia berdiri di depan imam Eleazar dan di depan segenap umat, lalu berikanlah kepadanya perintahmu di depan mata mereka itu
Bil 27:20 dan berilah dia sebagian dari kewibawaanmu, supaya segenap umat Israel mendengarkan dia.
Bil 27:21 Ia harus berdiri di depan imam Eleazar, supaya Eleazar menanyakan keputusan Urim bagi dia di hadapan TUHAN; atas titahnya mereka akan keluar dan atas titahnya mereka akan masuk, ia beserta semua orang Israel, segenap umat itu."
Bil 27:22 Maka Musa melakukan seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepadanya. Ia memanggil Yosua dan menyuruh dia berdiri di depan imam Eleazar dan di depan segenap umat itu,
Bil 27:23 lalu ia meletakkan tangannya atas Yosua dan memberikan kepadanya perintahnya, seperti yang difirmankan TUHAN dengan perantaraan Musa.
Num 27:1 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
Num 27:2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
Num 27:3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
Num 27:4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
Num 27:5 And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.
Num 27:6 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Num 27:7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
Num 27:8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
Num 27:9 And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
Num 27:10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren.
Num 27:11 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
Num 27:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
Num 27:13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
Num 27:14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
Num 27:15 And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,
Num 27:16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Num 27:17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
Num 27:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
Num 27:19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
Num 27:20 And thou shalt put some of thine honor upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
Num 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
Num 27:22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
Num 27:23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
