Mzm 58:1 Untuk pemimpin biduan. Menurut lagu: Jangan memusnahkan. Miktam dari Daud. (58-2) Sungguhkah kamu memberi keputusan yang adil, hai para penguasa? Apakah kamu hakimi anak-anak manusia dengan jujur?
Mzm 58:2 (58-3) Malah sesuai dengan niatmu kamu melakukan kejahatan, tanganmu, menjalankan kekerasan di bumi.
Mzm 58:3 (58-4) Sejak lahir orang-orang fasik telah menyimpang, sejak dari kandungan pendusta-pendusta telah sesat.
Mzm 58:4 (58-5) Bisa mereka serupa bisa ular, mereka seperti ular tedung tuli yang menutup telinganya,
Mzm 58:5 (58-6) yang tidak mendengarkan suara tukang-tukang serapah atau suara pembaca mantera yang pandai.
Mzm 58:6 (58-7) Ya Allah, hancurkanlah gigi mereka dalam mulutnya, patahkanlah gigi geligi singa-singa muda, ya TUHAN!
Mzm 58:7 (58-8) Biarlah mereka hilang seperti air yang mengalir lenyap! Biarlah mereka menjadi layu seperti rumput di jalan!
Mzm 58:8 (58-9) Biarlah mereka seperti siput yang menjadi lendir, seperti guguran perempuan yang tidak melihat matahari.
Mzm 58:9 (58-10) Sebelum periuk-periukmu merasakan api semak duri, telah dilanda-Nya baik yang hidup segar maupun yang hangus.
Mzm 58:10 (58-11) Orang benar itu akan bersukacita, sebab ia memandang pembalasan, ia akan membasuh kakinya dalam darah orang fasik.
Mzm 58:11 (58-12) Dan orang akan berkata: "Sesungguhnya ada pahala bagi orang benar, sesungguhnya ada Allah yang memberi keadilan di bumi."
Ps 58:1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
Ps 58:2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Ps 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Ps 58:4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
Ps 58:5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Ps 58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Ps 58:7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Ps 58:8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Ps 58:9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
Ps 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Ps 58:11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
