Kejadian 14

  1. Abram mengalahkan raja-raja di Timur dan menolong Lot

  2. Kej 14:1 Pada zaman Amrafel, raja Sinear, Ariokh, raja Elasar, Kedorlaomer, raja Elam, dan Tideal, raja Goyim, terjadilah,
  3. Kej 14:2 bahwa raja-raja ini berperang melawan Bera, raja Sodom, Birsya, raja Gomora, Syinab, raja Adma, Syemeber, raja Zeboim dan raja negeri Bela, yakni negeri Zoar.
  4. Kej 14:3 Raja-raja yang disebut terakhir ini semuanya bersekutu dan datang ke lembah Sidim, yakni Laut Asin.
  5. Kej 14:4 Dua belas tahun lamanya mereka takluk kepada Kedorlaomer, tetapi dalam tahun yang ketiga belas mereka memberontak.
  6. Kej 14:5 Dalam tahun yang keempat belas datanglah Kedorlaomer serta raja-raja yang bersama-sama dengan dia, lalu mereka mengalahkan orang Refaim di Asyterot-Karnaim, orang Zuzim di Ham, orang Emim di Syawe-Kiryataim
  7. Kej 14:6 dan orang Hori di pegunungan mereka yang bernama Seir, sampai ke El-Paran di tepi padang gurun.
  8. Kej 14:7 Sesudah itu baliklah mereka dan sampai ke En-Mispat, yakni Kadesh, dan mengalahkan seluruh daerah orang Amalek, dan juga orang Amori, yang diam di Hazezon-Tamar.
  9. Kej 14:8 Lalu keluarlah raja negeri Sodom, raja negeri Gomora, raja negeri Adma, raja negeri Zeboim dan raja negeri Bela, yakni negeri Zoar, dan mengatur barisan perangnya melawan mereka di lembah Sidim,
  10. Kej 14:9 melawan Kedorlaomer, raja Elam, Tideal, raja Goyim, Amrafel, raja Sinear, dan Ariokh, raja Elasar, empat raja lawan lima.
  11. Kej 14:10 Di lembah Sidim itu di mana-mana ada sumur aspal. Ketika raja Sodom dan raja Gomora melarikan diri, jatuhlah mereka ke dalamnya, dan orang-orang yang masih tinggal hidup melarikan diri ke pegunungan.
  12. Kej 14:11 Segala harta benda Sodom dan Gomora beserta segala bahan makanan dirampas musuh, lalu mereka pergi.
  13. Kej 14:12 Juga Lot, anak saudara Abram, beserta harta bendanya, dibawa musuh, lalu mereka pergi--sebab Lot itu diam di Sodom.
  14. Kej 14:13 Kemudian datanglah seorang pelarian dan menceritakan hal ini kepada Abram, orang Ibrani itu, yang tinggal dekat pohon-pohon tarbantin kepunyaan Mamre, orang Amori itu, saudara Eskol dan Aner, yakni teman-teman sekutu Abram.
  15. Kej 14:14 Ketika Abram mendengar, bahwa anak saudaranya tertawan, maka dikerahkannyalah orang-orangnya yang terlatih, yakni mereka yang lahir di rumahnya, tiga ratus delapan belas orang banyaknya, lalu mengejar musuh sampai ke Dan.
  16. Kej 14:15 Dan pada waktu malam berbagilah mereka, ia dan hamba-hambanya itu, untuk melawan musuh; mereka mengalahkan dan mengejar musuh sampai ke Hoba di sebelah utara Damsyik.
  17. Kej 14:16 Dibawanyalah kembali segala harta benda itu; juga Lot, anak saudaranya itu, serta harta bendanya dibawanya kembali, demikian juga perempuan-perempuan dan orang-orangnya.
  18. Pertemuan Abram dengan Melkisedek

  19. Kej 14:17 Setelah Abram kembali dari mengalahkan Kedorlaomer dan para raja yang bersama-sama dengan dia, maka keluarlah raja Sodom menyongsong dia ke lembah Syawe, yakni Lembah Raja.
  20. Kej 14:18 Melkisedek, raja Salem, membawa roti dan anggur; ia seorang imam Allah Yang Mahatinggi.
  21. Kej 14:19 Lalu ia memberkati Abram, katanya: "Diberkatilah kiranya Abram oleh Allah Yang Mahatinggi, Pencipta langit dan bumi,
  22. Kej 14:20 dan terpujilah Allah Yang Mahatinggi, yang telah menyerahkan musuhmu ke tanganmu." Lalu Abram memberikan kepadanya sepersepuluh dari semuanya.
  23. Kej 14:21 Berkatalah raja Sodom itu kepada Abram: "Berikanlah kepadaku orang-orang itu, dan ambillah untukmu harta benda itu."
  24. Kej 14:22 Tetapi kata Abram kepada raja negeri Sodom itu: "Aku bersumpah demi TUHAN, Allah Yang Mahatinggi, Pencipta langit dan bumi:
  25. Kej 14:23 Aku tidak akan mengambil apa-apa dari kepunyaanmu itu, sepotong benang atau tali kasutpun tidak, supaya engkau jangan dapat berkata: Aku telah membuat Abram menjadi kaya.
  26. Kej 14:24 Kalau aku, jangan sekali-kali! Hanya apa yang telah dimakan oleh bujang-bujang ini dan juga bagian orang-orang yang pergi bersama-sama dengan aku, yakni Aner, Eskol dan Mamre, biarlah mereka itu mengambil bagiannya masing-masing."
  1. Gen 14:1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
  2. Gen 14:2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
  3. Gen 14:3 All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
  4. Gen 14:4 Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
  5. Gen 14:5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emins in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
  6. Gen 14:6 And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.
  7. Gen 14:7 And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.
  8. Gen 14:8 And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
  9. Gen 14:9 With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
  10. Gen 14:10 And the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
  11. Gen 14:11 And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
  12. Gen 14:12 And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
  13. Gen 14:13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
  14. Gen 14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
  15. Gen 14:15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
  16. Gen 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
  17. Gen 14:17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.
  18. Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
  19. Gen 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
  20. Gen 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
  21. Gen 14:21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
  22. Gen 14:22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
  23. Gen 14:23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
  24. Gen 14:24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.
