  2. Yes 21:1 Ucapan ilahi terhadap "padang gurun di tepi laut". Seperti puting beliung mendesing lewat di Tanah Negeb, demikianlah datangnya dari padang gurun, dari negeri yang dahsyat.
  3. Yes 21:2 Suatu penglihatan yang kejam telah diberitakan kepadaku: "Penggarong menggarong, perusak merusak! Majulah, hai Elam, kepunglah, hai Madai! Aku hentikan semua keluh yang ditimbulkannya."
  4. Yes 21:3 Sebab itu pinggangku amat sakit, sakit mulas menimpa aku seperti sakit mulas perempuan yang melahirkan; aku terbungkuk-bungkuk, tidak mendengar lagi, aku terkejut, tidak melihat lagi.
  5. Yes 21:4 Hatiku gelisah, kekejutan meliputi aku, malam hari yang selalu kurindukan itu sekarang menggentarkan aku.
  6. Yes 21:5 Orang sibuk menyajikan hidangan, mengatur tempat-tempat duduk, makan, minum...Tiba-tiba kedengaran: "Hai para panglima! Siaplah tempur, minyakilah perisai!"
  7. Yes 21:6 Sebab beginilah firman Tuhan kepadaku: "Pergilah, tempatkanlah seorang peninjau, apa yang dilihatnya haruslah diberitahukannya.
  8. Yes 21:7 Apabila dilihatnya pasukan, pasang-pasangan orang berkuda, pasukan keledai, pasukan unta, maka haruslah diperhatikannya sungguh-sungguh, dengan penuh perhatian."
  9. Yes 21:8 Kemudian berserulah orang yang melihat itu: "Di tempat peninjauan, ya tuanku, aku berdiri senantiasa sehari suntuk, dan di tempat pengawalanku aku terpancang setiap malam."
  10. Yes 21:9 Lihat, itu sudah datang sepasukan orang, pasang-pasangan orang berkuda! Lalu berserulah ia, katanya: "Sudah jatuh, sudah jatuh Babel, dan segala patung berhalanya telah diremukkan dan bertaburan di tanah."
  11. Yes 21:10 Hai bangsaku yang telah dipijak-pijak dan diinjak-injak! Apa yang kudengar dari TUHAN semesta alam, Allah Israel, telah kuberitahukan kepadamu.

  13. Yes 21:11 Ucapan ilahi terhadap Duma. Ada seorang berseru kepadaku dari Seir: "Hai pengawal, masih lama malam ini? Hai pengawal, masih lama malam ini?"
  14. Yes 21:12 Pengawal itu berkata: "Pagi akan datang, tetapi malam juga. Jika kamu mau bertanya, datanglah bertanya sekali lagi!"

  16. Yes 21:13 Ucapan ilahi terhadap Arabia. Di belukar di Arabia kamu akan bermalam, hai kafilah-kafilah orang Dedan!
  17. Yes 21:14 Hai penduduk tanah Tema, keluarlah, bawalah air kepada orang yang haus, pergilah, sambutlah orang pelarian dengan roti!
  18. Yes 21:15 Sebab mereka melarikan diri terhadap pedang, ya terhadap pedang yang terhunus, terhadap busur yang dilentur, dan terhadap kehebatan peperangan.
  19. Yes 21:16 Sebab beginilah firman Tuhan kepadaku: "Dalam setahun lagi, menurut masa kerja prajurit upahan, maka segala kemuliaan Kedar akan habis.
  20. Yes 21:17 Dan dari pemanah-pemanah yang gagah perkasa dari bani Kedar, akan tinggal sejumlah kecil saja, sebab TUHAN, Allah Israel, telah mengatakannya."
  1. Is 21:1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.

  5. Is 21:5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
  6. Is 21:6 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
  7. Is 21:7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
  8. Is 21:8 And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
  9. Is 21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
  10. Is 21:10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
  11. Is 21:11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
  12. Is 21:12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
  13. Is 21:13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
  14. Is 21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
  15. Is 21:15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
  16. Is 21:16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
  17. Is 21:17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
