Yes 16:1 Mereka mengirim anak domba kepada pemerintah negeri, dari Sela melalui padang gurun ke gunung puteri Sion.
Yes 16:2 Seperti burung yang lari terbang, dan isi sarang yang diusir, demikianlah anak-anak perempuan Moab di tempat-tempat penyeberangan sungai Arnon.
Yes 16:3 "Berilah nasihat, pertahankanlah hak, jadilah naungan yang teduh di waktu rembang tengah hari; sembunyikanlah orang-orang yang terbuang, janganlah khianati orang-orang pelarian!
Yes 16:4 Biarkanlah orang-orang yang terbuang dari Moab menumpang padamu, jadilah tempat persembunyian baginya terhadap si pembinasa! Apabila penggagahan sudah berakhir, pembinasaan sudah lewat dan orang lalim sudah habis lenyap dari negeri,
Yes 16:5 maka suatu takhta akan ditegakkan dalam kasih setia dan di atasnya, dalam kemah Daud, akan duduk senantiasa seorang hakim yang menegakkan keadilan, dan yang segera melakukan kebenaran."
Yes 16:6 Kami telah mendengar tentang keangkuhan Moab, alangkah angkuhnya dia, tentang kecongkakannya, keangkuhannya dan kegemasannya, dan tentang cakap anginnya yang tidak benar.
Yes 16:7 Sebab itu biarlah orang Moab meratap, seorang karena yang lain, biarlah sekaliannya meratap. Mengingat kue kismis Kir-Hareset biarlah mereka mengaduh dan hancur luluh sama sekali!
Yes 16:8 Sebab kebun-kebun Hesybon dan pohon anggur Sibma telah merana; para penguasa bangsa-bangsa telah memotong pohon-pohon anggurnya yang terbaik, yang dahulu meluas sampai ke Yaezer dan merambat ke padang gurun; ranting-rantingnya berserak sampai ke seberang laut.
Yes 16:9 Sebab itu aku turut menangis dengan Yaezer karena pohon anggur Sibma; aku mau membasahi engkau dengan air mataku, hai Hesybon dan Eleale, sebab pada musim kemarau tepat waktu panen musuhmu menyerbu dengan pekik pertempuran.
Yes 16:10 Telah lenyap sukaria dan sorak-sorak dari kebun buah-buahan; telah menghilang dari kebun-kebun anggur tempik sorak dan sorak-sorai; tiada pengirik anggur di tempat pemerasan, pekik mereka sudah berhenti.
Yes 16:11 Oleh karena itu, seperti kecapi mendengking, begitulah hatiku menjerit melihat keadaan Moab, dan batinku tergerak melihat keadaan Kir-Heres.
Yes 16:12 Maka sekalipun Moab pergi beribadah dan bersusah payah di atas bukit pengorbanan dan masuk ke tempat kudusnya untuk berdoa, ia tidak akan mencapai apa-apa.
Yes 16:13 Itulah firman yang diucapkan TUHAN tentang Moab pada waktu yang lalu.
Yes 16:14 Maka sekarang TUHAN berfirman: "Dalam tiga tahun, menurut masa kerja prajurit upahan, maka kemuliaan Moab, serta dengan keramaiannya yang besar, akan menjadi kehinaan, dan orang yang tertinggal akan sangat sedikit dan tiada berkuasa."
Is 16:1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
Is 16:2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
Is 16:3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
Is 16:4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Is 16:5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
Is 16:6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
Is 16:7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
Is 16:8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
Is 16:9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
Is 16:10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
Is 16:11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.
Is 16:12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
Is 16:13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
Is 16:14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
