Kejadian 33

  1. Yakub berbaik kembali dengan Esau

  2. Kej 33:1 Yakubpun melayangkan pandangnya, lalu dilihatnyalah Esau datang dengan diiringi oleh empat ratus orang. Maka diserahkannyalah sebagian dari anak-anak itu kepada Lea dan sebagian kepada Rahel serta kepada kedua budak perempuan itu.
  3. Kej 33:2 Ia menempatkan budak-budak perempuan itu beserta anak-anak mereka di muka, Lea beserta anak-anaknya di belakang mereka, dan Rahel beserta Yusuf di belakang sekali.
  4. Kej 33:3 Dan ia sendiri berjalan di depan mereka dan ia sujud sampai ke tanah tujuh kali, hingga ia sampai ke dekat kakaknya itu.
  5. Kej 33:4 Tetapi Esau berlari mendapatkan dia, didekapnya dia, dipeluk lehernya dan diciumnya dia, lalu bertangis-tangisanlah mereka.
  6. Kej 33:5 Kemudian Esau melayangkan pandangnya, dilihatnyalah perempuan-perempuan dan anak-anak itu, lalu ia bertanya: "Siapakah orang-orang yang beserta engkau itu?" Jawab Yakub: "Anak-anak yang telah dikaruniakan Allah kepada hambamu ini."
  7. Kej 33:6 Sesudah itu mendekatlah budak-budak perempuan itu beserta anak-anaknya, lalu mereka sujud.
  8. Kej 33:7 Mendekat jugalah Lea beserta anak-anaknya, dan merekapun sujud. Kemudian mendekatlah Yusuf beserta Rahel, dan mereka juga sujud.
  9. Kej 33:8 Berkatalah Esau: "Apakah maksudmu dengan seluruh pasukan, yang telah bertemu dengan aku tadi?" Jawabnya: "Untuk mendapat kasih tuanku."
  10. Kej 33:9 Tetapi kata Esau: "Aku mempunyai banyak, adikku; peganglah apa yang ada padamu."
  11. Kej 33:10 Tetapi kata Yakub: "Janganlah kiranya demikian; jikalau aku telah mendapat kasihmu, terimalah persembahanku ini dari tanganku, karena memang melihat mukamu adalah bagiku serasa melihat wajah Allah, dan engkaupun berkenan menyambut aku.
  12. Kej 33:11 Terimalah kiranya pemberian tanda salamku ini, yang telah kubawa kepadamu, sebab Allah telah memberi karunia kepadaku dan akupun mempunyai segala-galanya." Lalu dibujuk-bujuknyalah Esau, sehingga diterimanya.
  13. Kej 33:12 Kata Esau: "Baiklah kita berangkat berjalan terus; aku akan menyertai engkau."
  14. Kej 33:13 Tetapi Yakub berkata kepadanya: "Tuanku maklum, bahwa anak-anak ini masih kurang kuat, dan bahwa beserta aku ada kambing domba dan lembu sapi yang masih menyusui, jika diburu-buru, satu hari saja, maka seluruh kumpulan binatang itu akan mati.
  15. Kej 33:14 Biarlah kiranya tuanku berjalan lebih dahulu dari hambamu ini dan aku mau dengan hati-hati beringsut maju menurut langkah hewan, yang berjalan di depanku dan menurut langkah anak-anak, sampai aku tiba pada tuanku di Seir."
  16. Kej 33:15 Lalu kata Esau: "Kalau begitu, baiklah kutinggalkan padamu beberapa orang dari pengiringku." Tetapi Yakub berkata: "Tidak usah demikian! Biarlah aku mendapat kasih tuanku saja."
  17. Kej 33:16 Jadi pulanglah Esau pada hari itu berjalan ke Seir.
  18. Kej 33:17 Tetapi Yakub berangkat ke Sukot, lalu mendirikan rumah, dan untuk ternaknya dibuatnya gubuk-gubuk. Itulah sebabnya tempat itu dinamai Sukot.
  19. Kej 33:18 Dalam perjalanannya dari Padan-Aram sampailah Yakub dengan selamat ke Sikhem, di tanah Kanaan, lalu ia berkemah di sebelah timur kota itu.
  20. Kej 33:19 Kemudian dibelinyalah dari anak-anak Hemor, bapa Sikhem, sebidang tanah, tempat ia memasang kemahnya, dengan harga seratus kesita.
  21. Kej 33:20 Ia mendirikan mezbah di situ dan dinamainya itu: "Allah Israel ialah Allah."
  1. Gen 33:1 And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
  2. Gen 33:2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
  3. Gen 33:3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
  4. Gen 33:4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
  5. Gen 33:5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.
  6. Gen 33:6 Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
  7. Gen 33:7 And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
  8. Gen 33:8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
  9. Gen 33:9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
  10. Gen 33:10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
  11. Gen 33:11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
  12. Gen 33:12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
  13. Gen 33:13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
  14. Gen 33:14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
  15. Gen 33:15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
  16. Gen 33:16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
  17. Gen 33:17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
  18. Gen 33:18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
  19. Gen 33:19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.
  20. Gen 33:20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
