Amos 2

  1. Am 2:1 Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Moab, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena ia telah membakar tulang-tulang raja Edom menjadi kapur,
  2. Am 2:2 Aku akan melepas api ke dalam Moab, sehingga puri Keriot dimakan habis; Moab akan mati di dalam kegaduhan, diiringi sorak-sorai pada saat sangkakala berbunyi;
  3. Am 2:3 Aku akan melenyapkan penguasa dari antaranya dan membunuh segala pembesarnya bersama-sama dengan dia," firman TUHAN.

  4. Hukuman atas Yehuda

  5. Am 2:4 Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Yehuda, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka telah menolak hukum TUHAN, dan tidak berpegang pada ketetapan-ketetapan-Nya, tetapi disesatkan oleh dewa-dewa kebohongannya, yang diikuti oleh nenek moyangnya,
  6. Am 2:5 Aku akan melepas api ke dalam Yehuda, sehingga puri Yerusalem dimakan habis."

  7. Hukuman atas Israel

  8. Am 2:6 Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Israel, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka menjual orang benar karena uang dan orang miskin karena sepasang kasut;
  9. Am 2:7 mereka menginjak-injak kepala orang lemah ke dalam debu dan membelokkan jalan orang sengsara; anak dan ayah pergi menjamah seorang perempuan muda, sehingga melanggar kekudusan nama-Ku;
  10. Am 2:8 mereka merebahkan diri di samping setiap mezbah di atas pakaian gadaian orang, dan minum anggur orang-orang yang kena denda di rumah Allah mereka.
  11. Am 2:9 Padahal Akulah yang memunahkan dari depan mereka, orang Amori, yang tingginya seperti tinggi pohon aras dan yang kuat seperti pohon tarbantin; Aku telah memunahkan buahnya dari atas dan akarnya dari bawah.
  12. Am 2:10 Padahal Akulah yang menuntun kamu keluar dari tanah Mesir dan memimpin kamu empat puluh tahun lamanya di padang gurun, supaya kamu menduduki negeri orang Amori;
  13. Am 2:11 Aku telah membangkitkan sebagian dari anak-anakmu menjadi nabi dan sebagian dari teruna-terunamu menjadi nazir. Bukankah betul-betul begitu, hai orang Israel?" demikianlah firman TUHAN.
  14. Am 2:12 "Tetapi kamu memberi orang nazir minum anggur dan memerintahkan kepada para nabi: Jangan kamu bernubuat!
  15. Am 2:13 Sesungguhnya, Aku akan mengguncangkan tempat kamu berpijak seperti goncangan kereta yang sarat dengan berkas gandum.
  16. Am 2:14 Orang cepat tidak mungkin lagi melarikan diri, orang kuat tidak dapat menggunakan kekuatannya, dan pahlawan tidak dapat melarikan diri.
  17. Am 2:15 Pemegang panah tidak dapat bertahan, orang yang cepat kaki tidak akan terluput dan penunggang kuda tidak dapat meluputkan diri.
  18. Am 2:16 Juga orang yang berhati berani di antara para pahlawan akan melarikan diri dengan telanjang pada hari itu," demikianlah firman TUHAN.
  1. Amos 2:1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
  2. Amos 2:2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:
  3. Amos 2:3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.
  4. Amos 2:4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
  5. Amos 2:5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
  6. Amos 2:6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
  7. Amos 2:7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
  8. Amos 2:8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
  9. Amos 2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
  10. Amos 2:10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
  11. Amos 2:11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.
  12. Amos 2:12 But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
  13. Amos 2:13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.
  14. Amos 2:14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
  15. Amos 2:15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
  16. Amos 2:16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.
