SKILL IN ARRANGING

Baca: EXODUS 31:1-11

Bacaan tahunan: Hosea 1-7

The office where I work has three warehouses in a four-story building. In a day, sometimes three to four trucks come from the factory. Our warehouse manager has the skill in arranging goods. He knows where to place large and small items. Once when four trucks came almost simultaneously to drop off goods, he and his team quickly and properly arranged the goods on the first floor.

Everyone must have useful skills. Those skills are important to God. His specifications for work are very detailed. God's command to Moses regarding the construction of the Tabernacle is an example of how God is with someone's work skills. If we look at Exodus 26, God is very specific, from measurements, materials, to quantities. Moses as the leader of the Israelites knew what God wanted, and the ones who worked on the Tabernacle were Bezalel and Oholiab with their team. The Tabernacle and all its furnishings were successfully made because there were people who were equipped by God with the skills to work on it to completion with wholeheartedness.

A great and complex task can always be done by skilled people who are willing to work together and wholeheartedly. Whatever our skills are now, be thankful and use those skills given by God wholeheartedly. Be an expert because we always use our skills to the fullest so that our work results are very satisfactory and the best.
