REST

Baca: Exodus 31:12-17

... for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. (Exodus 31:17)

Bacaan tahunan: John 1-4

There are many ways people rest. Some people enjoy it by exercising or walking with friends. Some of them are relax by playing video games or enjoy good food. The others enjoy it by sleeping or just lounging at home. I myself enjoy a rest by going to the natural attractions.

Either way, the rest is part and parcel of our lives. However, there are some people who see the rest as something that is not productive. Indeed, in this day and age, everyone is required to compete and try to be the most superior. An employee required to work overtime every day so as not to be considered as an employee who lost diligent than others. A child is forced to fulfill the empty time with a variety of courses, so that he is superior to other children.

However, let us remember in particular how God created the Sabbath. If follow His pattern when creating the world, indeed the Lord is teaching us to work for six days, then rested on the seventh day. Through it, God wanted to show that the break is not something that is not productive. Instead, this is the key to break the balance of life, it is very important to nourish us physically and spiritually.

So, when we are tired, do not hesitate to rest. Regularly, always give yourself time to rest. After the rest, we will be strengthened and refreshed to resume duties better - ALS

REST AFTER WORK SO THAT WE HAVE STRENGTH TO DO THE NEXT
