WORKING WITH FAITH

Read: ACTS 18:1-26

Bible in a year: 1 Chronicles 15-17

Priscilla and Aquila were not great preachers or famous figures. They were just a husband and wife who worked as tentmakers. However, behind their simplicity, God placed a great heart to serve others. They opened their home, welcomed Paul, and from there the news of the Gospel spread. Even when they met Apollos, a fluent speaker but did not fully understand salvation, they did not judge him publicly. With love, they invited him to their home and explained the way of God patiently and gently.

What Priscilla and Aquila showed us is that serving God is not always done in a pulpit, but also at work, at home, or in everyday conversations. Priscilla and Aquila worked with their hands, but also served with their hearts. They did not separate work and faith, both went hand in hand to glorify God. Their faith was not a theory, but real in actions of building up, strengthening, and teaching others about God's truth.

Learning from Priscilla and Aquila, I am reminded that every work done with faith can become a field of ministry. At work, at home, or wherever we are, God can use us to strengthen and guide others to the truth. What we need is not a pulpit, but a faithful heart and ears attuned to God's will. --SYS/www.renunganharian.net

SERVING GOD IS NOT ABOUT THE PULPIT, BUT ABOUT FAITHFULNESS DECLARING TRUTH WHEREVER WE ARE.
