A 2021 study of tens of thousands of adults in the United States by Daniel Kahneman and Matthew Killingsworth published in the Journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, revealed that money is not everything because those with incomes of more than US.000, 00 per year do not show a significant increase in happiness. In fact, some continue to suffer such as heartbreak or depression, even desiring a US0.000, 00 income which is actually very difficult to achieve.

True satisfaction actually lies in our souls which are always safe and peaceful in Jesus, like living water that continues to flow so that our burdens are lifted and His joy and peace fill our days. Pursuing material things alone will make our souls never rest, even though we can obtain everything, darkness will continue to haunt us until we come near to Him and receive His salvation grace freely. Like the freedom Jesus gave to the Samaritan woman until she had hope for her future.

If it is not the Lord Himself who blesses us, our lives in the world will continue to spin aimlessly. Only He is able to fill the emptiness of our souls so that we can be satisfied with what we have.
