SELF-CONTROL

Read: Ruth 1

Bible in a year: Matthew 11-12

Ready or not, we must be prepared, that's the attitude of life that must be built. Because life is like a mystery, which can give various surprises. Everything can happen, whether planned or not. Therefore, we are invited to always be ready to face it, even if it is forced due to unpreparedness.

The heaviness of life was experienced by Naomi. She and Elimelech decided to move to Moab with the hope of continuing their lives because of a famine in Israel. However, the move that was originally planned to continue life turned into a disaster, as Naomi was repeatedly faced with bitterness and full of unpreparedness. It started from the death of Elimelech, followed by the death of their two sons. However, instead of choosing to drown in despair, Naomi chose to build self-preparedness. She decided to return to Israel, and allowed her two daughters-in-law to return to their homes. She knew that anything could happen in life, so the only thing she had to control was herself. Therefore, she chose to control herself, prepare and organize herself to make life decisions, while believing that God was not silent on her.

Many things can happen in life, where many things we cannot control. So let us learn to control ourselves, always build readiness to face anything, while still believing that God is with us.

THE ONLY THING WE CAN ALWAYS CONTROL IS OURSELVES. DO NOT LOSE OURSELVES, BECAUSE GOD IS WITH US.
