It used to be I am a little jengah with the term "Insha Allah". Not only feels foreign in the ear, a term that it describes the faith in doubt, less confident in claiming the appointment and maintenance of God for our lives. Is it so?
"God willing" simply means "If God wish", as used in the Bible Translation team of translators. However, the old Translation of the Bible, the translators chose to borrow the phrase from the Arabic. In addition to the nas today, the term also appears in Paul's appointment to the Church of Ephesus (acts 18: 22) and the Corinthian Church (1Cor. 4: 19). I so think again. Oh, it turns out that fast and for sure it is God's promise; as for the promise and the human plan, as it would've been just confirmed James, wrapped with "Insha Allah". We can make and put together a plan and try my best to fulfill them, but we can't be sure what will happen in the future.
"God willing", thus, is an expression of humility: awareness that it is not us who have and determine the future; that the best plan we are not always in harmony with the best plan of God; that we are all limited in the presence of omnipotence and omniscience. Therefore, we make room for her to turn and straighten our step. While we recognize that the best future we are in his hand. -ARS
