In fact, we are glad to see the bad guys swallow the bitter fruit of his deeds. It could be that one of the answers to our prayers. However, if God is also pleased with it?
Edomite nation rejoiced when his brother Israel suffered a catastrophe, even took part in repressing the nation already derailed it (v. 10-11). The old testament records showing the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel and Judah are caused by their rebellion against God. Salahkah if Edom welcomed their destruction with the vibrant? God clearly against Edom (verses 12-14). In other parts, the Lord himself says that he wishes to repentance, not the death of the wicked (see Ezekiel 33: 11). Supposed to be undaunted and demeaning of Edom in the presence of the Lord. If God is not reticent smite his own elect, how could they think they can escape (verses 15-16)?
God intended to be punishment of the people repent and spared from eternal punishment. When there is a brother who fell into sin and the didisiplin of the Lord, should we pray in order to be compassionate and experience it brings them more and more know God and obey him. And, should we not repeat their story. With trembling before God is holy, we need to invoke the grace to live a life that is pleasing in his presence. -ELS
