Read: Genesis 50:15-21
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. (Genesis 50:20)
Bible in a year: Leviticus 14-15
A friend sent me a funny SMS , "I ask of the Lord of fresh flower, He gave me ugly and prickly cactus. I asked for a butterfly, He gave me a caterpillar. I'm disappointed and sad! However, a few days later, a beautiful flowering cactus and caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly is very beautiful. that's the way God: always beautiful in His time."
God's ways are often elusive in the human mind is limited. Joseph's story is an example. As his father's favorite son, Joseph Small confident certainly never expected to sell their own brothers (see Genesis 37). Thirteen years is barely passable, before Joseph is believed to be representative of the king (see Genesis 39-41). He might wonder why God allowed it to happen. Only after save her people from starvation, then he knows how to bring God's sovereign goodness through the difficulties he experienced (verse 20). Not only that, Joseph was established in order to receive a big responsibility and love those who had hurt him.
Maybe you have one or several issues such as Joseph. You do not understand why God gave the "caterpillar" instead of "butterfly". Remember how God works through the life of Joseph, which far outweighs the good of his mind. Each state can be used by God for good, even if someone else originally intend to harm us. Will we continue to believe and obey Him? - ARS
