BEWARE OF POISON!

Read: 2Timothy 4:1-8

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear (2Timothy 4:3)

This true story experienced by all my nephew. I was so hungry and ha-us after school, he immediately drank a cup of "tea" which he saw on the table sewing machine. It turns out that insect venom. He was screaming in pain. I am grateful to arrive at the right time to help him so he was spared. The presence of food and beverages that seem interesting, can make people eat and drink recklessly, especially when it is hungry and thirsty. Unfortunately if it turns out that devoured unhealthy or even toxic.

"Food and beverages" for the soul is also not entirely healthy. There is an incorrect alias fairy tales. The Apostle Paul was far earlier reminds him as leader of the church at Ephesus to be aware of this danger. A time will come where people no longer able to endure sound doctrine (verse 3), and looking for teachers who are more "satisfying the ears" (verses 3-4). Therefore, encouraged Timothy to be ready to use every opportunity to preach the word of patiently and faithfully (v. 2, 5).

How the truth of God's word is important to us? Or relish a variety of teaching us how interesting and exciting our hearts without thinking of conformity with the Bible? We need to be careful. Please Holy Spirit gives wisdom. Recognize the true word of God to read and meditate on it, so that we can distinguish it from the wrong message. Share the truth that we receive and colleagues warn us if there are "poison" that endanger all around them - ACH
