WHO IS LOOKING FOR?

I want to see what He looks like. A blind man was healed by Him before come to this city. I'm not sure He wanted to see me, especially if He knew that I was a tax collector. I'm also not dared to approach Him directly. But that's OK, I just want to see him. "Could this be in the Zaccheus's mind, when he did not succeed through the crowd because of his physical limitations and then determined to climb the fig tree to see Jesus?

The reason of Zacchaeus seeking Jesus is not described, except that he wanted to see Jesus. Clearly, his heart swelled with joy when Jesus look at him, say hello, maybe even taking a ride into his house (verses 5-6). His property is become not so important; half of his wealth will be given to the poor and person that he had ever squeezed will get a four-fold change (verse 8). Zacchaeus rejoicing. The question is, is it only Zacchaeus seeking Jesus? No. Zacchaeus effort was admirable, but it was Jesus who first greeted him. Jesus who seek and to save Zacchaeus "the lost" (verse 10).

We might want to "see" God in our lives, but also fear for too close to Him. We follow the worship silently, sat alone hoping that nobody is know, fear of engaging in service, feel guilty. The fact that we feel are not worthy or that people are not happy with the changes we are experiencing could happen. But remember that we are not the only one who are looking for Jesus. Jesus was also want to find and save us. He wanted to live in our hearts - SL
