WHILE STILL YOUNG

Baca: Psalm 90

For in thy sight a thousand years are like yesterday, if passed, or as a shift in the night (Psalm 90:4)

Bacaan tahunan: Revelation 9-11

If someone asks, "When are you going to die?", What would you answer? It's a tough question. Many people died in old age, but not least also died at a young age, even childhood. Humans death can indeed pick up at any time, according to God's time. However, there were many people who do not want to think about death. The things that smell of death is often far removed from the mind. Considered taboo to talk about. This is indeed an irony. As a result, some of us then did not think: "How do I prepare for death?", "Where you going with me after death?" In contrast, more often think: "While still young, enjoy life," "What else should I accomplish in life?"

We need to learn from Moses. What is the age of Moses when he died? He was 120 years old (Deuteronomy 34:7) is long enough. However, what he says about life? Life is short, like the grass that grows in the morning and wither in the evening (verses 5-6). Therefore, Moses begged God's wisdom to be able to count the days. That is, he is very aware that life is short. Therefore, he requested be enabled to fill their lives wisely.

We do not know when our lives will end. However, while there is still a chance, use time wisely. What is most prudent for us? First, ensure our safety. Second, the decision to trust God. Third, fill life with things that are pleasing in the eyes of the Lord and exalt His name - RY
