The events surrounding Jesus' moments before his death on the cross were truly amazing. Darkness covered the land. The veil of the Holy Temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The leader of the soldiers carrying out the crucifixion orders glorified God and witnessed that Jesus was truly a righteous man. The onlookers went home beating their chests in deep regret.

The dramatic events accompanying Jesus' death were truly miraculous. Proving that Jesus is indeed the Son of God. In particular, the tearing of the veil of the Holy Temple is a sign that from that moment on sinful humans could connect with the Holy God directly. Without any mediator. This is the result of Jesus' extraordinary sacrifice. Happening only once, replacing burnt offerings for the atonement of human sins forever. The sacrifice was very costly. It is worthy of our respect and appreciation.

When reading the book of Leviticus, it is evident that the ritual of atonement was incredibly complicated. Only the priest could enter the Holy of Holies separated by the veil once a year. How troublesome it was for the Israelites. Some had to make a long and difficult journey just to come and offer sacrifices. Very different from believers today. We can confess our sins anytime and the Lord forgives them completely. We are also given the right to become children of God. Even becoming royal priests.

BELIEVERS CAN HAVE DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER WHO IS HOLY. WE SHOULD ALWAYS GLORIFY HIS NAME.
