Living in the world is short. Javanese proverb says, "urip may stop Ngombe" [live it just stopped drinking]. Picture of human life in the Bible as well as short. As a night shift, like a dream, like flowers and grasses, such as wind and shadow (Psalm 90:4-5; 103:15; 144:4). Reading this day to complete it. Like the steam! There briefly and then fade away (verse 14).
How to organize life in a time like "steam" is? The Apostle James advises that believers do not rely on ourselves, but think of what God (verses 15-16). We do this and that "if God wills ...." This expression is clearly not just part of good manners for a person to look humble and spiritual comfort or excuse yourself to deal with various uncertainties. However, an expression of submission to the sovereignty of God acknowledges that He is the holder of control over life. His will, His heart is important to us.
Dr. Michael Griffiths, the book Take I Serve You, said: "We have one life to pursue. Maybe we already went through one quarter, one-third, half, maybe even more
