DUTIES AND HUSBAND'S CALL

Eve was not created from the bones of the leg, so that wives could not be a slave to husbands. Eve was not created from the skull, so that wives submit and do not master to husbands (Ephesians 5:22-23). Eve was created from a rib, so that wives be a helpmeet, heart protector for husbands. But on balance, a wife in desperate need of affection and protection of her husband, who keep it taken from him. And, a husband will protect and defend his wife desperately, only if he realizes that his wife is an inseparable part of his life.

When his family life is threatened by famine, Abram brought his family to Egypt. But how surprising the Abram's attitude, Sarai's husband. When danger threatens, he instead took refuge behind Sarai. He asked Sarai not claiming to be his wife, but as Abram's sister. While it is true that Sarai is not only Abram's wife, but also his cousin. He asked this because of fear. Sarai was very beautiful. When Pharaoh saw interested and want to take it as a concubine, then Abram could be killed.

As good, as rich, and popular as any husband, the most important and expected by his wife was that he could protect himself and his entire family. Therefore, he should not rely solely on its own merits. If so, then the great man like Abram who was given the title as father of the faithful were able to escape from duty and vocation as the head of the family. Therefore, the true strength is not in itself, but in an intimate fellowship with God, namely faith. Do you have it? - SST
