WHY CRY?

Baca: Luke 19:28-44

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it (Luke 19:41)

Bacaan tahunan: Numbers 7

Jesus wept. Why, and whenever Jesus cry? If we examine the life story of Jesus, we will find at least three events when Jesus wept. First, of course when he was born as a baby, in order to become a human being just like us. Second, Jesus wept when Lazarus died and was mourned by those beloved (John 11:33-35). And third, in the reading today.

Interesting that Jesus did not cry when he told scorned, despised, misunderstood, and even crucified to death. He actually cried when it was noted was cheered into the city of Jerusalem (v. 41). He wept for the City of God because the people in it do not really realize what they need for their kindness (verse 42). God had a visit them, but they do not know, and do not want to know, so that when the destruction came, they were crushed out (verse 43-44).

Why and when do we cry? Do we cry for more and for yourself? When we feel "sick", lost, hurt, and so forth? Jesus wept because of human sin apart from the Father who loves them. And they do not also understand that the way to go back to the glory of His Father and was bridged by him. Are our hearts cry also saw the souls of the lost? Will we continue to pray, pay attention, and convey his message of salvation, so they do not cry forever in eternal damnation? - ODY

Ask and have a heart like Jesus, who wept for the longing that everyone knows the Redeemer
