THE STAGE OF PERFORMANCE

Experiencing accidents, disasters, severe illnesses, bankruptcies, being deceived by business partners, and others are some examples of bad things that can happen to anyone. Unfortunately, many people conclude that these things happen as a result of sin. Viewed as punishment from God. That was also the view once held by the disciples of Jesus when they met a man who was blind from birth. They concluded that the blindness happened because of his own sin, or the sin of his parents.

However, Jesus did not agree with their conclusion, instead, He corrected it. Indeed, many bad things happen as a result of sin. However, it is not automatic. Jesus gave them a new understanding. There are shortcomings, weaknesses, and suffering that are not the result of someone's sin. But, God allows it to happen so that He can use that situation to show His power. The man who was blind from birth became a stage where God showed His miracles by opening his eyes so that he became a witness to what Jesus did for him.

Yes, the various difficulties and sufferings that we experience in life can be interpreted as a stage where God is writing a story for us to act out. The story is shown to the world so that many people can witness the love and power of God through our lives. Therefore, let us perform our roles well, full of gratitude, reflecting love, giving encouragement, and not judging others carelessly.
