THE SECOND REFORM

How many people believe that "idle" in the Kingdom of God? Results of the national survey conducted in Gallup found that 10% of the U.s. Church members who are actively serving on a personal basis, 50% not interested to serve, and 40% are interested in serving, but never asked or don't know how. Approximately how the results if the same research conducted at our church or fellowship?
The message of the Bible is very clear. The Bible instructs everyone to serve (verse 10). That means 100% of people believe, without exception. Plants? Love truly (verse 8). Equipment? gifts that are given to every believer (verse 10). His responsibilities? Use and manage the gifts that God has bestowed a gift, be it in Word as well as practical action (v. 10-11). The objective end? So that God is glorified (verse 11).
God glorified through the community of believers as members each serving one another in love. However, in practice it isn't in many places we have only a handful of people that are busy serving the Church and mostly busy criticizing as an audience? Elton Trueblood said: "If the reforms had first returns the word of God to the people of God, we now need a second reform to restore the work of God to the people of God." Elton's right. The work of God is Ministry of all believers, not just certain people. Lets start this second reform. From yourself. From our closest community. -JOO
