THE HOBBY OF BLAME

Baca: 2 Samuel 12: 1-14

Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David: "God has rid your sins it: thou shalt not surely die." (I Samuel 12: 13)

Bacaan tahunan: Deuteronomy 30-31

A drug addict asked why she could be an addiction. He also tells the story at length about parents who often memarahinya, his brother who did not love him, girlfriend who decided a love affair with him, as well as teachers and friends who often demoralize him in order. The addict blames everyone but himself.
Initially the King David also blame rich people who reported the Prophet Nathan (paragraph 5). No, the rich man he thought her that is a reflection of himself. He robs belongs to sendii existing others. I'd imagine David tercengang-cengang because he does a furtive disclosed at length by the Prophet Nathan (verses 7-12). As King, David could only quibble and seek the reasons for justification, even dismiss Nathan for daring admonished him. However he is aware, this is a rebuke from God which is omniscient. He sinned, not just on each other, but also in the presence of God! This awareness makes it not point fingers at other people or situations. Although he was a great King, with honest and full of contrite heart he claims to in the presence of Nathan, "I have sinned."
As a descendant of Adam, we all tend to have a hobby of blaming others. We want it to be considered correct and spared from punishment. We want to remain the well-regarded and respected people. We want to avoid the embarrassment and the demands of an omniscient God. Patutlah we learn to recognize sin as David did. Confession and remorse that earnest is part of repentance and change of life. God is faithful and just appreciate the honest recognition in his presence (see 1 John 1: 9). -HEM
