just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28)

Children's behavior often makes us amused and exasperated. We understand their behavior because they are central in the growth stage and the search for identity. However, if the behavior continues to carry over until the person is an adult, it can make the sick. We call it childish.
That's childish attitude shown by the students when disputing who's bigger, who is most worthy to lead, among them. They want to be in a position of leadership, a position that requires maturity, but they view leadership as a world centered on me, myself, and mine. Leadership welcomed as a vehicle to satisfy the interests and personal ambitions.
The Lord Jesus corrects that view. He filed a worldview which overturned the perspective of the disciples. True leadership does not focus on yourself, but on the welfare of others. Its main provision is the humility and willingness to serve others. A leader would be willing to get rid of his personal interests for the sake of providing a meaningful contribution for the crowds. Leadership, in the view of Jesus, not primarily refers to the position, but on the attitudes and motivation of the heart.
How is our tendency? Pursuing the position or the importance of willingness to serve others? After personal gain or earnest longing to bless others, if necessary by sacrificing self-interest? Will we humble ourselves as servants? - ARS
LEADERSHIP IS A NOBLE CALLING SO TO ACHIEVE IT WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES
