Baca: EPHESIANS 5:1-20
Bacaan tahunan: Romans 11-13
Once I attended a dinner from an elderly doctor who still had good fitness. He was still eating dishes usually avoided by the elderly, while telling his routines as a doctor. Routinely, he still practiced at three hospitals and still managed to read books regularly. "His life is so productive, even inspiring many people to live a healthy life!" I murmured as I listened to his life experiences.
Keeping life productive is not only for the elderly or those entering retirement in their jobs. We, the younger ones, also need to live a productive life because in truth the Lord gives valuable time every day. Unfortunately, lately we see many people wasting time on futile matters, such as playing games or excessively using social media. The wasted time duration would be more beneficial if used for other activities, such as self-development, honing skills, or personal communion in prayer and Bible reading.
Based on our meditation verse, the encouragement for the people of God to learn to use time wisely still needs to be considered. The goal is none other than that every day we can live a productive life, not just spending time looking busy, but actually living our lives in vain. Let's ignite the spirit to live a productive life every day.
