Now imagine what it would be like if the privacy rights were never there, suddenly I became very embarrassed. Surely people would be surprised to know the movie doesn't deserve that I have ever seen, my secret conversations for ruining the good name of others, plans a foul, or sinful thoughts that I enjoy. However, why I was never ashamed to God who always knew gestures, motivation, thoughts, and designs the most hidden though. I am more afraid of my good name than fear tainted the Holiness of God.
One of the causes of the lack of fear or shame when sin is any guarantee of safety for those of us who believe in Christ. Indeed, we must enter into his rest place of eternal (verses 1, 3). However, we still have to account for our life in his presence. That's why the author of the book of Hebrews asks us alert (paragraph 1) and obey him (v. 6, 11). We have to hold God's Word to keep our lives stay clean (verse 12). On the contrary, when we realize, we must dare to approach his throne (v. 16). Therefore, Christ our high priest (v. 14, 15) to reconcile us to God.
So, there are two seemingly contradictory stance, but there must be simultaneously within the believer. First, the attitude of fear of sin; Secondly, the attitude of daring approaches God Most Holy. We have to realize that there was nothing that we can hide from his view. On the other hand, every time we sin, we must have the courage to come to him, begging for forgiveness. -HEM
