Every time you hear the word Idol, perhaps we imagine a statue of sesembahan, all the charms that are stored behind the clothes, or antique objects which have a certain strength. As Christians, we know that an idol is an abomination in God's eyes. By karenaitu, I'm sure that most of us don't keep much less worship to such objects.
However, based on the book of Ezekiel chapter 14 we read today, idols are not just something that is visible, but also things that are invisible. In our reading is called: these people regard idols in his heart. Everything that take the place of God in our hearts is an idol. Idols in the heart is a stumbling block that makes us easy to fall into a variety of sins.
Is there something being so captivated our hearts surpassing the Lord Jesus? Whether it is our ambition, a desire to pursue a career in the considered important, or the pursuit of possessions, or maybe my attachment to someone, or also a matter of popularity and romance. Everything must be tested and placed according porsinya. Not until he succeeded the position of God in our hearts. Lord we worship the Lord is jealous.
