HE MUST HAVE COME

Baca: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.(1 Thessalonians 5:2)

Bacaan tahunan: Deuteronomy 8-10

In connection with the coming of the Lord Jesus' second coming, there is a group of Christians called eschatomania or those who are very fond of talking and even predicting His coming. However, there are also eschatophobia groups, namely those who do not like to discuss this topic. They do not care and ignore any truth regarding the second coming of Christ.

However, the Bible clearly insists that like it or not, Christ will come for the second time. Every one of us will be faced with a special day, whether we were alive during or when we were dead. However, his return could not be determined because it is like a thief in the night (verse 2). Truth is encouraging each of us to have the right outlook and attitude towards this topic. The first is concerned with the fate of our future judgment day. It says clearly that one day, only those who truly believe in Christ who will escape the wrath of God (verse 9). The second is a reasonable attitude to life that we are putting in waiting for an encounter with Him. In either case, we deserve this introspective.

Do you already have the assurance that you will live with Him someday? Where did you find out? Then, if we admit as a bright child and the child's day (verse 5), how to live like what we've been putting out? May the certainty of salvation we have a strong foothold and our way of life shows that we have certainty. - PBS
