Diction (the choice of words that are precise and harmonious) in poetry has its own appeal for those who admire the beauty of words woven with meaning. The words chosen by the poet can often make anyone who reads them soar high with imagination as their wings. The power of imagination that brings about a thousand interpretations capable of guiding readers to self-reflection.

Psalm 139 in the Bible is a beautiful religious poetry that contains adoration to the Divine. Every believer who reads this passage can feel the beauty of the words that convey King David's admiration (v. 6) for the Omniscient God (v. 2-4). The king's awe in believing in His presence since his mother's womb (v. 13) until the days he will go through (v. 16).

God's presence signifies His constant guidance of King David in his life wherever he is (v. 8-10). His presence is so significant that it gives rise to thanksgiving from the king (v. 14). A sincere expression of a human being immersed in the grandeur of God, even though it is unfathomable by his mind (v. 17).

Even when flying with the wings of dawn and making a home at the farthest sea, God is still with those who believe in Him. His presence implies His Omniscience over our lives. Thanksgiving flows from our admiration because God's presence makes life more meaningful. --EML/www.renunganharian.net

WHETHER AT THE FAR END OF THE SEA OR WHEN FLYING WITH THE WINGS OF DAWN, NOTHING IS HIDDEN FROM GOD.
