Ever see or follow the trial process? You've probably noticed that many of the questions the judges that are herding or trapping the defendant to provide the answers you need.
The same situation seems to occur also in the trials faced by Jesus. His enemies seek clarification whether Jesus was the Messiah, the promised enyelamat God (v. 67a). However, this is not the question that arises from a genuine curiosity, but an attempt to find fault so they could accuse Jesus of committing a crime (v. 67b). Ironic! Speech was actually conceived as a long-awaited statement to condemn Jesus (verse 70). Was Jesus aware of the motivations behind their question? Really know! (Verses 67-68). And, he still expressed the truth, even though He knew the risks should be borne by him.
Until now, there are still many people harden their hearts against and accuse Jesus. We may also experience difficult situations because of our status as a follower of Jesus. People are looking for faults and wear our witness as a weapon to attack. Each of us suffer as a result of our ministry and witness of Jesus, remember that He has first to bear it. Keep stating the truth with wisdom. When Jesus comes back soon, we will not be facing him in remorse - Eno
