I, Paul, ... filed a request to thee [Philemon] about my son who get it while I was in prison, i.e. Onesimus. Formerly he was indeed not useful for you, but now it is very useful for you and for me either. (Philemon 9-11)

I'd like to have larger carts, "said a young scavenger when asked what his goal. Doesn't seem useful. However, there are people who looked at this children's full potential. Hopeful, they founded the free school, job skills training center, and home reading. Trying to widen horizons, extending ideals, makes these children so much more useful.
Onesimus, which discussed in Paul's letters, which used to be a dud, even his mind the narrow made him take a shortcut to the detriment of the master, and finally he curled up in jail (vv. 10, 11, 18). However, the Lord bringing Paul. Onesimus helped know the truth and be useful for his job (vv. 11, 12). Notice how Paul looked and called Onesimus: my son, my heart is fruity, handy, the brother lover (verses 10-12, 16). According to historical records, the possibility of building the Church of Ephesus Onesimus. Along with Polycarp, he used God collecting the writings that are now known as the New Testament. Something unimaginable by Onesimus before!
Whatever that comes to our mind when seeing people limited goals and their ability, or a mess of her life. Do we see them as fellow human beings created in the image of God? Their lives should reflect the glory of the creator. Whether we can do to help them make it happen? Perhaps you yourself feel worthless. God can only wear you as Onesimus next. -ELS
