AUDIENCE MEMBERS OR WORSHIPPERS?

Ah I can't worship the nih. His music does not fit in the heart! "wailed a congregation at the end of worship. At first blush, this sounds reasonable complaints. However, these complaints came from the crowd mentality often infect many people believe. For an audience, he would sing if successful music evocative himself. In other words, each depending on the music. If the music wasn't to taste, he broke down and worship the Lord. He threw the blame on music. The attitude is desired of the Lord when we worship him?
Psalm 57, written when David fled from Saul's pursuit, meneladankan attitude a true worshippers. Notice the sequence. The liver should be ready before singing (verse 8). The soul must rise before the instrument is played (verse 9). The heart must be highly dynamic worship of him even before the music heave. Heart of worship not dictated or cancelled by music. The priorities are not fixed on taste in music but rather on the truth of the Lord (verse 11). He did not exalt "the glory of music", but the glory of the Lord (verse 12).
Every week we worship at Church. Check ourselves honestly, do we come as a spectator or worshippers? Do we like "diesel engine" which must be heated first by music so we can worship him? Or, do we come to the presence of God with a yearning and awe will he? Stop being a spectator in worship. Be his worshippers! --JIM
