So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith (Galatians 3:26)

A young mother who just gave birth to visit his parents' house. With pride she showed her baby to her mother and said: "Mother, baby healthy and playful. But there is a little strange. Her hair was black once, while I and my husband have reddish hair." Her mother replied: "You do not have to wonder, your father's hair was black." Daughter quickly replied: "But Mom, it does not matter. Aren't I was the adopted son?" His mother gasped and then said with a smile replied, "Ah, I always forget it."

In Christianity, the word "children of God" often worn with pride. However, the understanding of the origin of such status is often forgotten gradually. We forget that the status of a children of God that we receive through faith is a gift which originated from the redemption of Christ (Galatians 4:5). Thus, we belong to Him, indwelt by the Spirit of God, and become his heir. This all proves that He loves us perfectly even though we originally were "adopted child".

From our side, it is a good and reasonable to always remember the origin of our status. Recognizing that the status of son that we get is because of sheer generosity, it will help our values and behavior. We will constantly be reminded to "know ourselves", thankful, and strive to walk worthy of the grace of God. Are we continue to fight for life that shows it thankfulness for the gift? Or is our behavior reflects the ungrateful life? - PBS
