The knife is a fundamental tool that can be ensured to always be in every household. Without a knife, almost all cooking processes become difficult. The knife will also always be kept sharp because a sharp knife is safer to use. While a dull knife is at risk of slipping when used. However, what about knives that are used to hurt or even take away the lives of others? Should knives that exist all over the world be destroyed so that such crimes no longer occur? Not sharp knives that need to be destroyed because sharp knives are morally neutral tools. Only, to produce beneficial works, knives must be in the right hands. Similarly with ourselves. Our bodies, minds, and time are like that knife. When we surrender them to sin, our lives will become instruments of destruction. However, when we surrender ourselves to God to be used by Him as weapons of truth, our existence will be a blessing to others, even glory to the name of the Lord. Paul reminds us that we should already be dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, it is only right that we no longer follow the desires of sin, but rather surrender our entire lives as weapons of truth for the Lord. Our minds are no longer filled with desires, our mouths no longer like to incite, and our hands are far from evil. Because being a weapon of truth means blessing, not hurting.
