It is not uncommon for testimonies that Jesus is the living Lord and Savior to be silenced. Those who have experienced His grace, life-changing transformation, and miraculous help may face obstacles, challenges, and even threats that hinder them from testifying freely.
The news of resurrection from the dead certainly attracts the attention of many people as it is an extraordinary event. Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary, was raised by Jesus after four days of his death. Jesus' return to Lazarus' place drew many Jews to come see Jesus, the One who is able to raise the dead, and also to see Lazarus who had been raised.
Lazarus is a living proof witnessing the divine power of Jesus over death, leading many Jews to believe in Jesus, leaving their Jewish religion and leaders. His testimony shook a large number of Jews and had a great impact, so much that the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus too. They tried to silence and erase the testimony by attempting to kill Lazarus, hoping that the testimony would stop.
Every believer is a witness of Christ. Have we testified Christ and His work in our lives? If we have truly experienced the living Christ, we will not be able to remain silent. Let us ask for wisdom and opportunities from the Lord so that we can be used by Him to testify about Him in every opportunity. --ANT/www.renunganharian.net
