COMPANIONS FOR THE WEARY

In the midst of a world that move faster, the number people with depression are also increasingly. Depression is a mental fatigue caused by the pressure of life constantly. Depression makes a person experiencing negative changes in mind, mood, and behavior. Many people are not able to pass through a long fatigue during the depression, then choose to end a life. Statistics of WHO stated that the depression more than 850.000 inhabitants killed each year!
The Bible records there is a Prophet who was suffering from acute mental fatigue, Elijah. Instead of being in the euphoria of victory after capturing the 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, Elijah instead derailed and want to die after receiving threats of King Ahab. Jezebel (1 Kings 19: 4). Responding to the State of Elijah, God is not to be angry. He even acted as a companion for Elijah. First, through his angels of God meet the physical needs of Elijah (vv. 6-8). Second, God is listening to complaints over Elijah (vv. 9-14). Third, God ask Elijah back do the work of Ministry (verses 15-17). Fourth, God stated there are many peer service to Elia (v. 18).
Whether you're tired mentally wracked by problems of life? Alamilah own presence and friendship of God recover. If all around you there are people who are going through a slump of soul? As God has become best friends for Elijah, let us be friends for them. --CAP
