WHERE TO HIDE?

Read: Psalm 139:1-12

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? (Psalm 139:7)

Bible in a year: Job 24-28

Jenny hastily washed his hands. Soon after, he ran to his friends left the classroom. This four-year-old boy buried his head into a big duffel bag. Shortly thereafter, a loud voice makes me, then walked through the open class, was amazed to see of him. "The teacher, I'm hiding!" Jenny thinks if the head is not visible, then the whole body would not be seen!

What Jenny did remind me of God the All-Knowing. God knows and we investigate (paragraph 1). He knows what we do, which can also be known by others. He knows our daily life: sitting, standing, walking, lying down (verses 2-3). He even knows what other people do not know: something that is stored in our minds (paragraph 2) as well as words that have not come out of our mouths (verse 4). It is true what the psalmist says that we may not be able to hide from his sight.

Knowingly or not, maybe you and I sometimes act like Jenny. We try to hide our faults meetings of the presence of God. We ran away from him, thinking that we can live without a deal with God. What a waste of life like that! The understanding that God is omniscient should make us no longer run and hide from God, but instead brings us to always known and investigated by the Lord. Open yourself to be reproved, corrected, and shaped more like Christ - SWS
