Bible in a year: 1 John 1-5

When landslides occur in Wasior, West Papua, there are many victims died. Unfortunately, it is difficult to reach affected areas. However, a young man drove loyal volunteers with boats to Wasior, with a low cost. Simply replace the cost of gasoline, he was willing to depart anytime. When asked why he wanted to devote themselves, the answer is because he is part of those who survived. Parents, siblings, and relatives were killed in the disaster. Meanwhile, he survived because he was out of town. So, that's the way to address pain. Not only mourn, but to do something for others.

With a brief, but charming, Matthew tells us that first Christmas joy. Messiah promised by God through the centuries, has come. The Wise Men, who are considered intellectuals from the East, fall down and worship Him. They did not come empty-handed, but brought as an offering to the king's tribute.

However, surprisingly Matthew slipped melancholy tale of mothers in Bethlehem, who mourn for their babies killed by Herod. Apparently Herod was angry because he felt cheated of the Magi. So, he ordered the murder because he did not want another king grew and later subvert his throne. However, the young couple bravely carried off their tiny baby, the baby Jesus. Babies who would give his whole life to atone for sins of the world. Including your sin and mine! Now, as people who were given the right to life being saved from eternal death, what should we do for those who are still confined sin? - SST
