WHEN MARTA IS ANGRY

Read: Luke 10:38-42

Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me (Luke 10:40)

Bible in a year: James 1-3

Serving God is clearly a noble activity, whatever its form. Therefore, care should be done with the right attitude too. However, sometimes people have a vague way that it can not behave as they should. Many church activists get angry because they felt it was a lot of sacrifices to serve, but not appreciated. Unassisted, even reprehensible.

This probably happens to Marta. How can impose all the hassles of Mary on his shoulders alone, as if only he is obliged to serve the guests? To the extent that Martha protested to the Lord Jesus. However, Jesus defended Mary instead, justifying the choice of Mary to sit at His feet and listen to him. And, Martha reprimanded for having trouble yourself with things outside of it. Mary has chosen the best, ie, let the Lord to serve him. If Martha was busy with the ministry of Jesus, Mary preoccupied by the ministry of Jesus to him. And, Jesus Maria appreciate that as a student willing to learn and listen.

Have we also act as a disciple? Remember that being a disciple not only by constantly busied themselves in service. Do not let us put something good, such as service, become more mainstream than the best, which interlock to God to hear His word. Remember: busy serving the Lord can not be an excuse to not have time contemplating his words. Conversely, familiarity with His word must always be the basis of our service - Eno

BEFORE THE WORD OF GOD SERVE US WE MIGHT NOT BE READY TO SERVE GOD
