Read: Job 1:1-22
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD (Job 1:21)
Bible in a year: Nahum 1-3
One time when I moved house, I found an ant's nest in one of the kitchen cabinets in the house. It is a very big ant mounds. I then take insect repellent. Did not take long, nests and ant colonies that may have built up over many months, it fell apart.
What happens to the nests and ant colonies were more or less the same as those ever experienced by Job. Initially, the life of Job is very successful. He is "... the greatest of all the men of the east" (verse 3). He also has a good and big family. However, one day God allows all that success is taken from his life. Everything he had built for years, suddenly gone out in a single day.
This is the reality of how fragile the human success. Any success that built up over many years, can just disappear. Because of that, hell if we become arrogant just because today we feel more successful than others. More fool again, if we replace God with our success. Therefore, we should rely only on the Giver of all the success. Remove any attachment to our success. In order for us to remain strong personal hold on to God in all circumstances. Even if that success allowed the Lord disappeared from our lives like Job, we can still say that God is sovereign over everything we have - ALS
HOW FRAGILE IS THE SUCCESS OF HUMAN LIFE THEN DO NOT RELY ON IT
