Which parents would just surrender when their child is about to be taken away from them? As much as possible, they will think of various ways to hold on as tightly as they can so that the child remains in their hands. That's basically the love of parents towards their children.
Because of Pharaoh's command, the king of Egypt, that all male children born to the Hebrews should be thrown into the Nile River, many of the Hebrews were frightened. One family from the tribe of Levi who had a baby boy went as far as hiding their child for three months. When they could no longer hide him, they did not just surrender, but planned and placed their child in a watertight basket, putting it in the reeds at the bank of the Nile River, and the baby's older sister watched from a distance. She was ready to offer a nursing mother for the baby if needed, which was the baby's own mother. When the baby was eventually taken by Pharaoh's daughter, who might have been bathing there regularly, the baby was nursed by the baby's own mother until he grew up, then brought back to Pharaoh's daughter, and he was named Moses.
Being wise as serpents and innocent as doves is important in this difficult, challenging, and evil era. Every moment we may face dilemmas and difficult choices on campus, at work, in society, or in our businesses. Let us ask for God's wisdom to be wise according to the truth in facing pressures and difficult problems even though.
