If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! (2 Corinthians 3:9)

Jews are so proud to have the law written in the Old Testament. They are also proud of his characters, like Moses and Abraham. Events at the time Moses came down from Mount Sinai, after receiving two stone tablets bearing the Ten Commandments the Torah, is very impressive and they will never forget. After seeing the Lord, Moses's face radiates glory. In fact, until he descended from Sinai, his face was shining bright. As a result, the people of Israel could not stand it. But eventually, the light was fading.
This story is then used by Paul to compare the glory of the Old Testament and New Testament. Paul states that the Old Testament will end with a conviction. Because, the law contains a standard of truth that can not be met by anyone then surely all the people will not escape from sin. However, the New Testament is God's justification of the sinner. Because of the demands it has fulfilled the Law perfected by the Lord Jesus. How great is the difference between condemnation and justification!
Until now, many people still think that salvation can be obtained by doing good deeds. The Bible states clearly that salvation is God's grace alone. All human efforts will only be a blind alley; will only end in failure and punishment of God. That's why we who have received God's redemptive grace, need to have a burdened heart to pray and preach that salvation is God's gift to others - Eno
