While waiting for my car got the treatment routine, I spoke with the owner of the workshop. He tells the story that once when still a supplier of tobacco for cigarette factory, his earnings are very abundant. After repenting, he struggled with his job because the income that he earned from the destruction of the health of many people. He then sold the warehouse with the contents and opened a workshop. He removed a large source of income for life. His income is now limited, but he's getting satisfaction.
This attitude is contrary to someone who encountered Jesus to find out how to obtain eternal life. He hopes has been eligible to enter into the Kingdom of God through his pious according to the law (verse 20). From the answer to the Lord Jesus we know that eternal life is only retrieved if someone follow Jesus fully, without anyone to obstruct any prior menahan-nahan wealth in this world. The issue, these people are very much treasure. He was not willing to let it go, then his face was grim and went with sad (verse 22). The Lord Jesus asserts that anyone who left everything to follow him, will receive a hundredfold return. .. and he will receive eternal life (verse 30).
Whether we are central to struggle the call to follow Jesus wholeheartedly? Is there still a barrier that makes us hesitate and wavering step? May the love and our love of Jesus makes us willing; even the steady step follow him.--HEM
